From her father's love for the game to her views on the future of golf, Yeojin shares her passion and insights with us. Dive in!
Q: What inspired you to start golfing?
Yeojin: My inspiration is my father! My dad's been golfing ever since I can remember and still golfs 3-4x a week. Growing up, he spent countless hours with me at a driving range and on the course. Then one day, I just stopped playing and put down my clubs. This was throughout my teen and young adult years. I picked up golf again and I have my father to thank for it. I wanted to bond with him over the game of golf, and through golf, I'm able to spend quality time, share experiences, and build everlasting memories with my family (& friends).
Q: What advice would you give to a beginner golfer?
Yeojin: The advice I'd like to give to beginners is that there are more important things than hitting the perfect shot. Some shots will be good and some will be bad. It's all about pushing through the bad shots and the bad days you have on the course. Some days, you might feel like giving up (like me), but what golf taught me is to never give up. No matter what days you have on the course, just shake it off and keep pushing forward.
Q: The golf industry is evolving, where do you see it going in the next few years?
Yeojin: I see the golf industry popping off even more in the future than now. A lot of the younger generation are getting into golf and I the industry will continue to grow. I'm excited to see how it'll evolve in the next few years!
